Are you giving your skin all it needs? What about toner? What does it do and do you need it? Should you try the Garnier Thyme toner?
Everyone loves to take care of their skin and it can be difficult to know where to start. With so many products to choose from it can be a little overwhelming. What product is right for your skin? What brand should you use? The list of skincare related questions is nearly endless. Face toner is no exception. Today, I’m sharing the toner I’ve been using and why it may be a great choice for you.
Should You Try New Products?
It is always important to try new products for so many reasons. If you are noticing changes in your skin that weren’t there before it may be time to consider a change of product. Simply adding a new product to your routine may also help.
If you have problems that a product isn’t tackling then maybe you need a different product to help? Not every product is for every skin type and problem. Our skin changes due to age and we should consider this when selecting the right skin products for ourselves.
Not forgetting that trying a new product is fun for those who love skincare. Whether it’s a new mask or moisturiser it’s fun to try new stuff. Have you tried a toner or product you loved and didn’t expect to? We’ve all been there.
Garnier Thyme Face Toner
Garnier has been really moving into the organic skincare scene. The Garnier Thyme Face Toner is exactly what it says on the tin a facial toner. It’s easy to get confused and think the toning stage is still a part of the cleaning skincare phase. It is, however, the first step in hydrating the skin. You want all your makeup to be removed thoroughly before the face tone stage.
Toner helps the pH balance of your skin. It can help minimise pores and even help tighten skin. It is also a great step to prep the skin ready to absorb your moisturisers and serums.
The ingredient in the Garnier Thyme face toner that is great for taking care of your skin is mainly salicylic acid. This helps gently exfoliate the dead skin from your face. Penetrate pores to keep them clean and help them appear smaller and generally help your skin look healthier.
Is it Good?
I have been using Garnier Thyme face toner for at least 6 months now, if not longer, and it is brilliant. It leaves your skin is left feeling so nice and clean without tightness or pulling. If it leaves your skin tight, it’s too strong for your skin and that’s a key tip to remember. I find that I am using less moisturiser as my skin is prepped ready for the moisture blast. Using less product saves pennies in the long run.
The smell can take a moment to get used to for certain. There are not many of us that are used to smelling actual herbs in our skincare products. Thyme is also a strong fragrance so it really does hit those nostrils. After getting used to it thought you begin to enjoy it.
If you’re looking for a new toner then this is a great one to try. The price is very reasonable and it does do what it says it does. It can be purchased from many local high street stores and even supermarkets which is great.
