Happy New Year For 2021

2021 is here and all though we’re going in slowly. Let’s go in happy and with some new healthy habits #2021 #newyear #newyearresolutions #happyhabits

It strange isn’t is? How a post like this would usually start and continue with revelations of the year past and dreams for the year ahead. Instead, a happy new year to you my lovelies. How are you? Are you all coping ok? I know Christmas was not what any of us were hoping but I hope you were able to make the most of it! 2020 was an awful year for all of us and worse for others than some. With hopes for a brand new decade and what it may bring. None of us expected the sh*t show that followed.

It is however a new year and we should focus on that and what we are still able to achieve, right? With that in mind and our human resilience in hand let’s face this new year with a fighting face. What good habits can you put in place for 2021 to make sure your year is a happy new year and a productive one too! Let’s add some positive changes this year.

Happy New Year, Happy New Habits

There are so many new years resolutions that you could choose from. The best and usually the most beneficial are really simple ones. The everyday changes that can make a big difference. The first being to start your day with a glass of water.

happy new year

We all know most of are not getting enough and this is a great way to add a little more h20 to your diet. We all know the benefits of drinking some more than we do know so add this to your list of good habits for a happy new year.

Breath

I know this may sound so simple but it really is such a moment for yourself. Take the time to just breath deeply even if it’s only for 10 seconds. Almost like a mini-meditation that lets your brain relax, refocus and calm. You could even try some affirmations to focus on whilst you breath.

Whether you do it at the same time every day or just when you can you will notice how much better you feel after a calming breath. If you want why not add meditation to your life? Monks live to such old ages and accredit activities such as breathing and meditating to their lengthy lifespan.

Get a Diary

An organised new year is a happy new year so add this to your habit list. Yes we all have phones now but we have all fallen fowl to a forgotten birthday, family event or dinner.

Buy a diary for your desk or bag and check it every Sunday evening. Check what you have going on this week. All appointments can be organised and birthdays. You could use it to track goals or aims your hoping to complete during 2021. Or even to keep track of financial ingoings and outgoings. This could help with saving some money if that’s your goal.

Happy New Year at Home

Yes although it is a new year, here in the UK, we are still stuck in our homes. Unable to visit family or friends. Made even worse by the small respite we were hoping for at Christmas to not go ahead. This made Christmas very hard for so many especially those who would now be alone for the festive period.

This year why not write to an elderly relative who doesn’t usually receive much contact. Or even if they do I’m sure they’d still love to receive a letter. You could also reach out to a local care home and ask if any of their residents may like a pen pal? Imagine the joy you could bring to someone loney with such a simple gesture.

Take 2021 A Day At A Time

We usually go rushing into new years with such vigour and passion. It’s safe to say we are all stepping into 2021 with a little more caution. With the covid vaccine slowly being administered in the UK we still all know this is not over. That distributing the vaccines will take time.

So, let’s just take it one day at a time and we will get there. Don’t worry about the world all the time. Some days it’s just about what’s going on under your roof and that’s fine. If 2020 taught us anything it is that we should take each day as it comes and be grateful for it.

Unlike my previous new year’s resolutions mine are simple and humble really. I will continue to post once a week as this is really working for me with the 3 kids, house and husband. I’m also interested in taking an online photography course. If you have a recommendation please let me know! Do you have any big plans for 2021? Leave them in the comments or you can contact me via my Facebook. Would love to know what goals you have and cheer you on for them! Happy new year loves, may 2021 be kinder and safer for us all.

Lots of Love,
Tahnee xxx
