Christmas 2020 is nearly upon us and a lot of people are relying on it to lift the spirit of this year. What better way to do that then to make your own sweet treats for the festive period. We have included many Christmas treats over the years and if you want all them you can click here to find them in the treats sections.

Making little treats at Christmas is such a fond past time for so many families. I remember my Dad would create the most amazing Christmas cakes for both Nan’s at Christmas. He is a professional but still, that memory always sticks with me. Food and Christmas go hand in hand really and the sweet treats are a must.
Christmas Tree Treats

Today’s treats are these gorgeous cone Christmas trees that I stumbled upon on a Facebook post. They look really simple, but with all the designs you can make so much fun. No baking needed which is always a bonus for a delicious sweet snack.
What You Will Need
- Ice cream cones
- Frosting
- You can make your own by adding 226g of butter, 375g of icing/powdered sugar and 1 tablespoon of vanilla flavour to a bowl. Then beat until it’s frosting. You can also add a drop of colour if you wanted.
- Small sweets for decoration
- desiccated coconut
- Edible green glitter
- Ice Cream
Directions
Start by adding a scoop or two of ice cream to your bowl. Then you want to place your cone upside down and spreading the frosting over the cones. Make sure it’s at room temperature so that way it’s easier to spread and you don’t risk breaking your cone. If you bought your icing make sure it’s a little softer before this step.
Simply add your sweets or cake decorations for tree decorations. Or you could cover them in glitter to make them look green.

You can also use desiccated coconut to create snowy Christmas trees. Which just look so festive and obviously adds that delicious coconut if that’s your thing.

It really is that simple to make this Christmas tree treat for your family. This is also a great activity to get the children involved with and they’ll enjoy the memories too. Do you have a go-to recipe for Christmas? I love cornflake cakes. They’re simple, easy and always taste great. Maybe these gorgeous no bake Oreo bars would be a hit in your house? Let me know yours in the comment below or you can always check out and follow my Facebook page and comment there. If you do make these I’d love to see them.
Lots of Love,
