New Website Update

Oh my lovelies it is unreal and so exciting that I am talking to you on my new website update!! I know I’ve been really silent with the blog posts but I have been super busy behind the scenes! Building the design of the site, new logos and we’re now a .com site which is awesome. You can still use http://tahneesblog.co.uk url but later in August I will be redirecting that to my tahneesblog.com. So make the most of my original baby whilst it’s still there!

Having ran my blog for the last four years on wordpress.com I found myself wanting better control of my site. Using the free sites are brilliant but they do have alot of restrictions. Be it with the design and layout of your site by using templates. It also seemed to be really holding my potential numbers down by not allowing me to index on Google and a plethora of other problems. In layman’s terms I had become better at building a website and needing full control to be able to have the site I want for you loves.

What Changes on The New Website?

I want to reassure all of my regular readers that this is more of a technical change than a content change. As mentioned above the site has a whole new look. I have redesigned my logos and I am loving how they look. It sort of felt the site had grown away from the old logos and feel these fit the new website and direction much better. I also worked hard on trying to make it more user friendly. Upgrading from the free wordpress to a hosted one is the biggest change really. For those who that means nothing to, I have gained better control of my website in all aspects. This is already coming to fruition as I can see my monthly visitors and views just rocketing which is amazing.

What Content Can We Expect?

As I said above I won’t be changing the context of my content necessarily. What I will be doing is, reluctantly, moving back to one post per week. There is for a number of reasons and the main one at the moment is the Corona pandemic. With the kids having been home since March I have found it increasingly difficult to keep up with posting. This then sends me on a bit of a stressed blogger path. This new website has got me excited and really ready to create some awesome new content for you. Summer Content?

It’s been a ball ache for most content creators to get some summer content together in the year that is 2020. I will be adding a new nature bingo and if you haven’t played the last one you can find that here. Great for all the walks we’ve all been enjoying lately. I am also still to share a post about my very private wedding! Not summer related but excited to share our day with you all.
