Summer Perfect Feet With
Superdrug

Hello to all of you beauties and how are you all today? Here’s hoping you are well and ready to talk about sunshine, beach days, flip flops and perfect feet? Sunshine is slowly but surely raising its beautiful golden head here in the Uk and who isn’t loving it?

Barbeques, flowers, pub gardens, splashing in the pool and catching some rays are not so much a distant dream. In fact, it’s a close reality I am really looking forward to. The one thing I am not looking forward to is peeling off the thick woolly socks to reveal what’s underneath! Do you hate getting your feet out in public or do your feet need some TLC? Feet look weird anyway so this is actually a really common hang-up people have but they’re just feet. So, how do get the perfect summer feet you’re confident enough to stick some flip-flops on? Well, Superdrug has the answer.

They were extremely generous and sent me over this amazing set of their new foot care products to try and damn I needed them, girls, who’s feeling me? I suffer from dry heels, dead skin build-up and my feet are not very attractive (I mean who’s feet are?). If I am being honest I don’t give my feet the attention they need or deserve so today we’re giving it all to the feet. Prep your tootsies for the warm summer months ahead and rock your flip flops like never before.

Clean

You want to start with clean feet, of course, because in the Summer they are out more often. Soak your feet in some warm water to help soften any dead skin then use the Jojoba Exfoliating Scrub. I used a peas sized blob for each foot and that was an ample amount. It has a beautiful mint scent that is very subtle but very refreshing. The beads are small and get into all the little bits of your feet and in between any bits of dead skin to help lift it. The beads are also soft so they do this without being too abrasive. After a good massage rinse your feet and dry. Your feet are left feeling so soft and clean, I also found that the vibrancy of my tattoo improved due to lifting off the dead skin.

Perfect Feet Means no Hard Skin

If after this point you still have a buildup of dead skin or threaded skin. For example on the toe edges or the heel of your foot. You can gently rub the areas with this hard skin remover that will lift any of the dead skin the scrub couldn’t move. I found this stone is a lot softer than a pumice stone but so effective. There was a noticed difference straight away which I was really impressed with. Plus to clean, all you need to do is wash under warm water and allow to air dry. This really worked straight away, so really great!

Beauty Socks for Perfect Feet

Essentially these are facemasks for feet. They come in SOCK form and are so easy to use. Simply pop them on as you would your own socks. Then put your feet up and enjoy a treatment for 20 mins! I tried the Honey and Tea tree and peppermint. Both smelled divine. The honey was really rich and luxurious. Whilst the Tea Tree is fresh and light. They leave your feet feeling really nourished, healthy and hydrated. Great if you have a lot of build up as it really helps soften all the skin on your feet. Equally as nice as a once a week pamper for your feet to keep them healthy and happy.

Moisture

Moisturising your feet may not be something you think to do. I, however, do get really dry feet and am always keen to find a great new moisturiser. Dry feet are not attractive and feel awful. Why not try this combo to hydrate and feed your feet to perfection.
The first cream is this light but super effective foot lotion (see above picture for full shot). When applying I had to be a little bit more generous than with the scrub. However, it leaves your skin feeling smooth and silky. Non-greasy and really fast absorbing this is great to take in your bag just in case. The scent is the same minty freshness as the scrub and it really is a fresh scent.

The second moisturiser is this cracked heel repair cream. Now, the second I saw this bottle I got excited and that is for one reason. One of the best ingredients for your feet is a little thing called urea. I find anything with this in it is usually amazing for feet. Using this twice a day will soften the hard skin and help you remove it more easily. This is going to get your feet to the point of perfection just in time for Summer!

New Shoes

Yes, it is the time of new plimsoles and flip-flops and we all know that can mean blisters. Is there anything more unsightly than a blister hanging off your little toe? Plus that burning, stinging sensation is not fun.  We’ve all been there I’m sure. Here are some awesome gel foot cushions you can slip in your shoes to help combat the blister blues. Lightweight gel but really soft. Apply to your heel and toe edges (felt the burn as I typed that) and they really will help prevent blisters. I have a new pair of that a pinching my toes a little and this has eliminated that.

Ailments

I am also in the middle of testing the verruca plasters as my son has one. You are given four plasters to last you eight days (a new one every other day). They stick a lot more effectively than normal plasters and don’t come off. I am really hoping it works as every other method we have tried isn’t doing the job. I will update this when he has finished the treatment. So far, they seem to be working really well. The verruca is dying and these plasters are much cheaper than the creams you can buy. Really impressed!

Once you have completed all these steps apply your favourite, Superdrug purchased, nail polish and you are good to go. I have to say my feet have never felt so good. Clean, soft, loved and healthy which is just perfect Summer, flip-flops and beach days. Superdrug has really hit the nail on the toe (lol) with this range. Really focusing on the care our feet deserve and don’t receive.

My favourite items are the hard skin remover as it is so effective but so gentle. Rids the hard skin without causing further damage to the skin. Also, I love the socks as they feel like a full pamper session for your feet in just 20 minutes. I noticed an immediate improvement in how soft my feet are and the skin buildup.
