The ’90s Trends

The trends from the ’90s are in full swing right now and I am loving it. The nineties were my era and most of my childhood was spent in this neon struck, raving decade. One trend from the nineties that I have always continued is incense burning. Whether it’s a stick-like above. A triangle in a novelty burner. I am loving joss sticks right now and have been lighting them daily. My favourite scents are vanilla and citrus-scented ones. I find they add a homey and cosy aroma to any room. 100% a life essential right here.

Real Life Essentials

The next February obsession is these rose gold stationery. I was so excited when rose gold and copper began to make a comeback and I am happy to report they don’t seem to be going anywhere. These striped and spotted lined notebooks are perfect for school, college, uni or work in general so perfect for your life essential list. They would also make really great journals. I like these ones because of the simple but striking patterns. Great to keep handy in your bag and again another great life essential.

Nail Varnish

With Spring mere seconds away this Astor Lacque deluxe orange nail polish is just sensational. Bright but bold it will make a great addition to your outfit. Perhaps adding a much-needed dash of colour. Bright colours are always a must-have for Spring through to Summer so this is a great addition to your collection. I like this one though as I find it doesn’t chip as easily as other brands I’ve tried.

Boots ARE Life Essentials

Boots really are life essentials for so many reasons. The first being I live in the countryside so mud, grass and wet areas, in general, are bountiful. You need good footwear for that. Secondly, I tend to wear skinny jeans more than any other style and I find boots or sandal type shoes go best with them. I got this great faux suede and PU leather pair from eBay. They were not only under £10 but only coming between the knee and ankle they’re perfect for wet Spring days.

Hand Cream For Chilly Days

Carrying on from the orange earlier I have also found a new hand cream that I am loving. Now, I suffer from really dry hands and have the need to moisturise them multiple times a day. The Crabtree and Evelyn ‘Tarocco Orange, eucalyptus and sage hand cream is a dream. It absorbs really well and is not greasy. This is despite the cream being a thick consistency. You do not need to apply much as it spreads really well across the hands. I can also reapply whenever I like and my skin doesn’t feel like the cream is building up. Really great and the bottle is perfect for your bag when on the go.
