Scooters and saving the world!
Hello, my loves and welcome to the second part of the Mummy Dates Project 2017. This time I spent a bit of time with my eldest son. Jett had a mum date. This is a bit more difficult as he is at school during the week so this weekend (written before the half term) we found a bit of time together. I spent some time with my youngest lately and posted it here.

We’re fortunate enough to have a park just across the road from us so we went there.
Jett ran around the playground and I did my best to join in and keep up as usual. We played Avengers and destroyed the evil Doc Oc and saved the whole world!

Jett’s favourite is the swing so we spent most of our time on them however he isn’t much of a daredevil so you’re ‘not allowed to push me high’ (lol).
We also took a bit of time to practice his scooter skills and he loved the quick scoot to the shop we had. He was so pleased when he was able to balance on one leg whilst going to bless him.
I was reminded again about how precious these moments are and also how they won’t last forever! There will be a time when my son doesn’t want to hang out with me. At least in building these memories now I will always have these special times with my boys.
However, more importantly, so will they!

Jett also had a spin on the very strange merry go round that’s in the park (I’ve never seen one like it). He loves it as it’s more of a ride than a merry go round. Then when we were done we went home for hot chocolates, a roast dinner, movies and jam roly poly with custard! It really was a lovely little afternoon. Also as soon as we got in Jett told me ‘I had so much fun with you mum, I love you and I loved playing Avengers with you!

That’s what it’s all about for me! My boys understanding that I am not always able to play at the drop of a hat but we will have time together. I will make sure of it and the added bonus of no phones etc, just adds to the reminder to be in the moment WITH them, 100%.
Well, my loves thank you for stopping by today and I hope you enjoyed the little adventure we had, no matter how small.
More importantly, I hope that it inspires and encourages you to do the same. Put that time aside whenever you can for just pure 1 on 1 time with your children.
If you give mummy dates a go feel free to share them with me on my social pages loves.
Lots of Love
